Feb. 8, 1931 – June 10, 2011
Everett W. Baldwin, 80, of Lovell, died June 10, 2011, at North Big Horn Hospital after a long battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Everett was born Feb. 8, 1931, in Penrose. He was the first born, and the only boy, born to his parents Lester and Thora Baldwin. Everett went to school until the eighth grade. He worked at Georgia-Pacific and was also a well-respected mechanic until he retired. After retirement he traveled to Oregon and Wisconsin to visit his kids and grandkids. Everett really loved to spend time with his family. It was his favorite pastime.
One of Everett’s favorite hobbies was reading. His favorite author was Louis Lamour. His book collection could fill a library. Everett’s biggest accomplishment was his family, but second to that was the house he built from the ground up in Lovell, where his youngest daughter Joanie Barnes and her family now reside.
Everett is survived by his sisters, Juanita Laing, Bell Benson and Teddy Hansen; his children, David Baldwin, Cindy Yasin, Joe Baldwin, Kathy Hansen, Naomi Gibbs, Joanie Barnes and Heather Stubs; 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A viewing was held on Tuesday, June 14, at Haskell Funeral Home, and the funeral was Wednesday, June 15, also at Haskell Funeral Home. Burial was to be in the Lovell Cemetery.
