Virginia Bertha Fink died on Aug. 10, 2011, of natural causes.
She was born Nov. 6, 1920, to William and Elizabeth (Lenz) Winterholler, in Lovell. She married Fred K. Fink Sept. 14, 1941, in Lovell, where the couple made their home. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, enjoying weekly services and bible study groups.
Virginia was a great cook, making many German dishes and cooked at many of the local restaurants during her career. She also loved to cook for her family. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and knitting. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and would always have something to give them. Her name to the grandkids and great-grandkids was “Grandma Candy Bar.”
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, on Nov. 28, 1968; her parents William and Elizabeth Winterholler; sisters Rebecca Basnett and Sylvia Spaulding; brothers Bert, Ralph, Edwin and Melvin Winterholler.
She is survived by children Beverly (Howard) Becker, Stanley (Laura) Fink, Richard (Janice) Fink, Ralph (Debbie) Fink and Janice (Owen) Wantulok; sister’s-in-law Alys Winterholler and Olive Fink; grandchildren Lorry (Carl) Christensen, Colleen (Rob) Wagner, Kelly Thielen, Josh Fink, Annie Fink, Ralph (Jennifer) Fink, Shane (Sara) Fink, Fred Fink, Kari (Cotton) Bousman, Nicole (Steven) Wimmler and John (Sara) Wantulok; great-grandchildren Cody (Heather) Wagner, Paula Wagner, Soni (Jordan) Brost, Cassandra Christensen, Elliot (Jasmine) Christensen, Zachary Christensen, Lindsay Thielen, Katie Thielen, Alexis Fink, Peyson Fink, Alyssa Fink, Jaylee Bousman, Miranda Bousman, Connor Wimmler and Jayce Wimmler and great-great-grandchildren Leili Christensen, Aubbri Wagner, and Davanni Wagner.
Viewing and visitation were at Haskell Funeral Home in Lovell from 2 to 4 p.m. on August 14.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. on Aug. 15, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lovell. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church.
