Viola L. Leonhardt

One of God’s many angels, Viola Leona Loose Leonhardt, entered this world Aug. 5, 1916, in Fort Morgan, Colo., and died on Nov. 30, 2011, in the North Big Horn Hospital in Lovell.

Viola married Henry Leonhardt Jr. on July 18, 1934, in Gering, Neb. They had four children, Larry (Betty) Leonhardt of Cowley; Sharon (Alex) McDougal of Red Lodge; Mary Ann (Frank) Hanny of Gering and Charles (Bobi Jo) Leonhardt of Cowley.

She has been our anchor, our humble matriarch of Christian family values, our caring symbolic Mother Theresa, being blessed for the precious eternity of life with 17 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren and counting.

Loved by many, sharing her love, encouragement and support in so many ways, she is being fondly remembered by all her family and friends.

A memorial service with Rev. Don Thomas officiating was held at Haskell Funeral Home in Lovell on Monday, Dec. 5, and was followed by her burial at the Cowley Cemetery. Haskell Funeral Home in Lovell was in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.haskellfuneralhome.com.
