Jessie Rodriguez Guzman, 57, of Lovell, died May 28, 2012, in Boise, Idaho of natural causes. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Jessie was born in Lovell on Jan. 2, 1955, to Felicitas and Lorenzo Rodriguez. She was raised in Lovell where she attended school. This is where she met Jesus Guzman. They married on July 27, 1977, and moved to Idaho. Two wonderful sons, Michael and Anthony, joined their union.
They lived in Idaho for 13 wonderful years. From there they moved to Kansas. They later divorced and Jessie moved back to Idaho in 1993, when her twin sister died in Lovell. This is where she met her life partner Sabino Melchor Delgado.
They made their home in Caldwell, Idaho, for 19 years, where they lived until the time of her death.
Jessie helped raise many nieces and nephews and they all considered her a wonderful mother. Her family legacy will be passed on to her grandchildren, four girls and six boys, who she adored and cherished more than life itself.
Jessie rests peacefully with her mother, father and twin sister in Lovell. She will be greatly missed, much remembered and always loved.
Those preceding her in death were her parents Felicitas and Lorenzo Rodriguez and her twin sister Mary Cogswell.
Jessie is survived by her two sons Michael Guzman of Caldwell and Anthony Guzman of Kansas, her life partner Sabino Delgado of Caldwell, her siblings Lorenzo (Juanita) Rodriguez of Alaska, Maria Lena (Tony) Gonzales of Caldwell, Rafila Luna of Wilder, Idaho, Sandra (Richard) Green of Lovell, Emertro (Luisa) Rodriguez of Sheridan, Esther (John) Wormell of Powell, Isabell Castro of Caldwell, Edward (Lisa) Rodriguez of Lovell, 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A viewing and rosary was held June 1 in Caldwell and graveside services will be held in Lovell Saturday, June 9, at 10:30 a.m. at the Lovell Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at Great Western Park Saturday from 1-4 p.m.
