NeVille drawing workshop well-received

Local artist E. Denney NeVille of Byron held a workshop during this year’s Mustang Days Artist’s Market offering drawing tips to local artists who attended. The workshop was called “Drawing with Denney” and was attended by artists of many different ages and experience levels. Artists arrived armed with pencils and sketchbooks to learn from one of the best artists in the area.

NeVille’s work sells in galleries in Wyoming, Arizona and Colorado. He is a graduate of the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. He also worked for two years as an illustrator for Hughes Aircraft in Culver City, Calif. and two years in Reseda, Calif. assisting in animation production for Filmation Studios before returning to his hometown of Byron.

NeVille said he was pleasantly surprised and very impressed with the number of young artists who attended the workshop. This was the first time he has offered a workshop during the Mustang Days Artist’s Market.

Artist’s Market organizer Gladys McNeil said those attending seemed to enjoy the workshop and got a lot out of it.
