Jeffery Blanchard Beddes, 56, died Sept 3, 2012, after a battle with cancer. He was born Oct. 9, 1955, in Lovell to Vern Elmer and Golda Blanchard Beddes and married Cecille Desiree Curtis. They later divorced, and she died in 2003.
Jeff graduated from Lovell High School, where he excelled in wrestling and took the state championship and was awarded a wrestling scholarship. He served two years in the Northwestern States mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, then attended Ricks College. He worked in building construction, carpentry and as a contractor.
He enjoyed his vegetable garden, swing dancing, country music, mechanics, camping, building computers and photo restoration. His most recent endeavor was in a leadership position with Alcoholics Anonymous and was called frequently to be of assistance to those in need. He also served in the Substance Abuse Program for the LDS Church.
He is survived by son Isaac Adam Beddes, daughter Rachael Louise Beddes and brothers and sisters Jerry (Susan) Beddes, Jim (Nelda) Beddes, Vern (Sharon) Beddes, Ronald Beddes, Bonnie (Bruce) Anderson, Arvin (Barbara) Beddes, David Beddes and Susan (Gordon) Jensen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vern and Golda Beddes, and son Jacob Jeffery Beddes.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 8, at 10 a.m. in the Lovell LDS Church. Viewing will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Lovell Cemetery.
