The weather clerk should be called on the carpet and made to give an account of himself. He is treating our farmers simply shameful and they are talking of invoking the “recall” against him. He has certainly been on bad behavior long enough.

Oct. 14, 1937

Thirteen fires in the Big Horn National Forest caused $6 worth of damage this year, but cost the forestry service $115 to extinguish. Lightning was responsible for several of the blazes, careless smokers for four and a careless camper one.

The fire suppression cost was slightly more than $1 an acre.

Oct. 15, 1987

The Lovell Bulldogs will wear the crown of 1987 Five Rivers Conference Football Champions. Clutch plays on offense and game-saving plays on defense carried the undefeated Bulldogs to a 22-14 overtime victory over the stubborn Greybull Buffaloes before a packed stadium in Greybull.
