Aug. 17, 1930 – Nov. 1, 2012
Marge Sprouse died on Nov. 1, 2012, in West Valley City, Utah, at the home of her daughter, Connie. She was 82 years old.
She was born Marjorie Ann Timmons on Aug. 17, 1930, in Oconto, Neb., to George Curtis Timmons and Rachel Mae Nichols Timmons. She apprenticed with Rena Beechler of Callaway, Neb., to become a hairdresser. While living in Callaway she met and married Rex Sprouse on March 9, 1949. Rex and Marge had three daughters, all born in Callaway.
In 1955, they moved to Lovell when Rex was offered a new job. In 1957, they moved into a larger home on Main Street and Marge opened Marge’s Hair Fashions in the basement of their home. She continued her business until 2005 when her health wouldn’t let her stand for long periods of time. She loved her work and became good friends with her customers. She took pride in always continuing her education and for many years was a member of the local hairdressers’ association.
Marge’s pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed every minute she spent with them.
Marge was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by three daughters, Judy Tippetts and Becky (Ron) Korell of Lovell and Connie (Peter) Salm of West Valley City, Utah; seven grandchildren, Brook (Brandy) Tippetts of Lovell, Sam Korell of Winnemucca, Nev., Karee Korell of Alameda, Calif., Matthew (Chasity) Korell of Miles City and Kensey, Jackie and Gentry Salm of West Valley City, Utah; and five great-grandchildren, Masey and Larissa Tippetts of Lovell, SheaLee, Kaitlyn and Quentin Korell of Miles City.
