Edward Pryde, son of Vida and Adam Pryde, died at the Billings Clinic on Jan. 17, 2013, after having two heart attacks. Ed was born in Byron on Feb. 23, 1925. He lived most of his life in the Big Horn Basin.
Ed joined the Army in 1951 during the Korean War but after a few months of serving was given a medical discharge.
He worked for Clarence Mangus, driving truck for many years. He also worked around Lovell and Byron doing farm work. For a time, he worked in Cody at Husky Oil.
Ed was married in 1974 to Harriet Heny and they resided in Powell and Cody.
Ed is survived by a daughter, Pamela Pryde of Denver, one grandchild, seven great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mary Jean Corbridge and Dorothy Braug of Denver.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held on Friday, Jan. 25, at 10 a.m., at Haskell Funeral Home. Burial of cremains will be in the Byron Cemetery in the family plot. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.haskellfuneralhome.com.
