Verlee and several of her neighbors started a private kindergarten when there wasn’t one available for children in Renton, Wash. She was an avid cook and liked to try new recipes she learned from her travels. She also enjoyed knitting, cross-stitch and made many beautiful blankets for family to cherish.
She is survived by her children, Julie Van Hee (Barry Sather), Ralph Van Hee (Jolene) and six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Dewain Van Hee. She leaves behind many friends at The Chateau Valley Center where she spent her last wonderful years enjoying time with friends.
