Wilson receives Student Leaders Scholarship

Rocky Mountain High School senior Kallee Jo Wilson was honored at halftime of the 2A State Championship Girls Basketball game in Casper on March 2 as the recipient of the 2013 2A Girls Wyoming Student Leaders Scholarship.

Aaron McCreight, CEO of the Casper Area Convention and Visitors Bureau and chairman of the Casper Proud to Host the Best Committee, presented the $500 scholarship to Wilson at the Casper Events Center on behalf of the committee and the McMurray Foundation.

Wilson carries a 4.0 grade point average and is the RMHS Student Council senior class president. She is also an FBLA officer and a member of National Honor Society.

She excels in volleyball, basketball and track and has been named all-state once in volleyball and track and three times in basketball. She was also selected all-conference twice in volleyball and track and four times in basketball.

A member of the jazz choir, she also performed in the school musical her freshman year.

Wilson plans to attend either the University of Wyoming or Black Hills State and major in physical therapy. She also hopes to continue her basketball career.
