Rod and Gun Club to hold Public Appreciation Day

The Lovell Rod and Gun Club is planning two events in June. June 1 will be a Public Appreciation Day from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Lunch will be served. This is also an opportunity to look over the club’s five-year plan for the range.

The club plans to have instructors for pistol, .22 rifles, long rifles and trap. People should bring their own guns and ammo, but the club has some shotguns, .22 rifles and bows for youth shooters. A 50-caliber gun will be set up for anyone who would like to shoot it.

On June 22 the club will host a Top Gun four-gun shoot, a chance to show off shooting skills with an any caliber pistol with iron sites, .22 rifle with iron sights, a high powered rifle with any sights and shotgun (trap shooting). Points will be awarded and an overall winner proclaimed.
