Did you know that there are 45 identified species of mosquitoes in Wyoming? The Town of Lovell Parks Dept. will be hosting a free mosquito informational seminar on Wednesday, June 5 at the Lovell Community Center starting at 7 p.m.
The seminar will teach participants how to identify the most troublesome mosquitoes and which mosquitoes are potential carriers for the West Nile Virus. Participants will be able to see the fogging machine and other equipment that the town uses to fight the mosquito populations within the Lovell town limits.
Do you want to know what chemicals the town uses? Are those chemicals safe for you and your family? Janice Stroud from one of the town’s chemical supply companies will be present at the seminar to answer some of those questions, too.
Homeowners will learn what steps to take to reduce mosquito problems in their backyards.
“We will help you identify some of those steps necessary to take in being able to reduce mosquito populations around your yard so that you can enjoy the wonderful Wyoming evenings in your backyard without having to wear body armor to protect yourself,” said Parks Director Gary Emmett. “This seminar is open to all area residents and is free of charge.”
