Nov. 8, 1945 – Aug. 19,2013
Wife, mother and grandmother Rosanne Marie Acton Wall, 67, died peacefully in her home, surrounded by her husband and children, on Aug. 19, 2013, after a courageous fight with cancer. Born Nov. 8, 1945, in Lovell to Carl and Lillie Acton, Rosanne loved her childhood in the Big Horn Basin. She graduated from BYU with a degree in nursing. She worked at Primary Children’s Hospital, LDS Hospital and Long Beach Memorial and as a public health nurse.
In April of 1973 she was set up on a blind date with David Wall, a widower with five young children. They were married on Aug. 8, 1973, and she seamlessly became the glue that held the family together.
Rosanne and David had four more children and she spent her life in loving service to her family. Rosanne was an elect lady, always looking for opportunities to serve others and to share her testimony of the gospel in quiet, simple ways.
She served faithfully in her ward callings and made many dear friends throughout her life.
Rosanne is survived by her husband of 40 years, David Wall, her nine children: David, Elizabeth (Paul), Aaron (Angie), Dallas (Heather), Jason (Taunya), Emily, Eric (Kristi), Marie (Jeff) and Carl (Tawny), 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Her sister Louise Wilder also survives her.
A viewing was held on Friday, Aug. 23, at Walker Sanderson in Orem and funeral services were held on Saturday, Aug. 24, at a chapel in Orem. Interment followed at Orem City Cemetery.
