Woman killed at Lovell sugar factory

An industrial accident Saturday at the Western Sugar factory in Lovell claimed the life of a North Big Horn County woman.

Big Horn County Sheriff Ken Blackburn said Monday that Anfesa Marie “Ky” Galaktionoff, 28, of Deaver died after “possibly falling” into a piece of industrial equipment at the Lovell factory. He said foul play has been ruled out, but the accident is still under investigation and an official cause of death has yet to be determined.

Blackburn said law enforcement was called to the factory at 9:02 p.m. Saturday, and after an extensive search and recovery effort Galationoff’s body was recovered early Sunday morning.

According to Mike Jameson of Haskell Funeral Home, a memorial service is being planned for Friday.
