Lydia Wagner Parks was born Oct. 8, 1914, to Christian and Elizabeth Rumpe Wagner in Park City, Mont. Lydia was the youngest of nine children. She grew up in Kane and Lovell, where she went to school and met her future husband, Christopher C. (Irish) Parks. They were married on Nov. 11, 1940.
Lydia and Irish owned and operated a café in Lovell. After selling the café she traveled many places with Irish and his work. She moved back to Lovell after Irish died. She went to work for D & M Electric as a bookkeeper. She moved to Cody and worked for the Cody Freight and Bus Line located in the Irma Hotel.
After retiring she moved back to Lovell to be closer to her family and resided there for the remainder of her life.
Lydia died Feb. 12, 2014. Services were held Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 1 p.m. at Haskell Funeral Home.
