The trap shoot is finished and the first performance of the Mustang Follies took place Wednesday night, but there is plenty of activity still to come this week as Mustang Days 2014 – “Once Upon a Time” – continues through Saturday, June 28.

Remaining tickets for the Thursday night performance of the Follies will be sold today (Thursday) from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lovell Area Chamber of Commerce office, 287 E. Main. Family Fun Night tickets are also on sale at the same location from noon to 6 p.m.

Activities

The annual Artist Market and Show began Wednesday and continues from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Lovell Recreation Building, 143 E. Main. Local artist Denney NeVille taught a youth artist’s workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday and will teach again during the same hours Thursday with a high school ($10) and adult ($20) workshop. A painting party for all comers will take place Friday from 1 to 4 p.m.

The annual Mustang Follies will take the stage at the Hyart Theatre again on Thursday, starting with the Dollies of the Follies and the Mustang Band in front of the theater at 7:15, with the show beginning at 8 p.m. Like the overall celebration, the Follies have a storybook “Once Upon a Time” theme this year.

The Follies feature three short, humorous melodramas this year.

The annual car show featuring all makes and models will also be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. on Nevada Ave. just south of Main. Call 272-0876 for information.

Mustang Breakfast, Lovell Firehall, 6-10 a.m., sponsored by the Lovell Police Dept.

Artist Market and show, Lovell Recreation Building, 1-9 p.m.

Artist Painting Party, Lovell Recreation Building, 1-4 p.m.

Family Fun Night, Constitution Park, 5-8 p.m. $1 for entry and a hot dog meal, game and booth tickets 25 cents each. The event includes a new inflatable slide and some new, fun games.

Rodeo Calcutta, Diamond J Bar, 8 p.m.

Street Dance and Ice Cream Social with the Cowley Boys, Minchow’s Food Court parking lot, 8 p.m.

Saturday, June 28

Mustang Breakfast, Lovell Firehall, 6-9 a.m. Special ceremony at 8 a.m.

Ralph Robertson Memorial Fun Run, line up at North Big Horn Hospital, registration 6 a.m., run at 7 a.m. Entry fee $10 in advance, $15 the day of the race. Call Joe Koritnik for more information at 272-8266. Runs include a mile, 5K and 10K.

Kiddie Parade, line up at Hyart parking lot, 10 a.m. Parade begins at 10:30 and runs west to the LDS Church parking lot.

Rose Parade, line up at Lovell High School parking lot, parade starts at 11 a.m. Contact Stephanie Wagner to enter at 272-4619.

Mustang Barbecue, Big Horn Federal Savings Bank parking lot, 11 a.m. Bottled water for sale this year. Call 548-2065 to pre-order sandwiches.

Book signing by Bret Marchant for his new book “A Clear View of the Pryors,” 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Lovell Area Chamber of Commerce Downtown Information Center.
