Rocky girls receive all-conference honors

Rocky Mountain High School volleyball players Mikaela Hocker and Maddie Crawford were named all-conference players by coaches voting at the Regional Volleyball Tournament held in Lander recently.

“Mikaela led our team all season ending as the leader in kills, blocks and serving percentage,” said Coach Jamie Cooley.

Hocker served 100 percent for 102 of the 113 serves she made during the season. She also led her team with 68 kills and 35 blocks.

Crawford stepped to the position of libero this year and impressed the coaches with her passing. Crawford, also known as “Smiles” by some of her teammates, kept the team up with her positive attitude.

“Maddie really got our team to work and move as a team, all while leading our team with her passing percentage and consistent serving,” said Cooley.

Crawford served 86 percent and had 85 percent passing.

Marissa Arnold received an honorable mention from the coaches at the conference.

“Marissa worked hard for our team this season,” said Cooley. “She finished strong, really showing us what she can do and leaving us excited for what’s next.”

Arnold served 78 percent and had an impressive 63 kills and 12 blocks on record for the season.

“These girls are amazing, and I am very proud of them and how hard they work,” said Cooley.
