The evening will include a powder puff football game at 6:30 and the bonfire and pep rally at 7 p.m. featuring cheers, the introduction of fall sports teams, the pep band and the crowning of the homecoming royalty.
A fundraiser will be held throughout the evening Thursday in the form of a car bash. A car donated by Fred Zier will be painted in Rebel colors, and people will be able to “wreck the Rebels” by purchasing a whack with a sledgehammer for $1 per hit or three hits for $2. All proceeds will go to the family of Kaylynn Grant, a cook at the school, whose husband is undergoing cancer treatments.
During the week the four classes will compete for the spirit award through bulletin boards, sidewalk art and banners and skits to be performed during an assembly Friday morning.
Friday is Brown and Gold Day and will include a visit to the elementary school at 9:45 a.m., where cheerleaders and athletes will pass out Grizzly Cards and rev up school spirit for the big game.
