Virginia loved the outdoors; she loved riding horses, fishing and planting flowers. She also loved kids. She not only raised her own seven children and two grandchildren, but also had a part in raising many other children. She always had room in her home and her heart for any child in need. “Nanny,” as she was called by her grandchildren, loved her grandkids very much and they loved her just as much. Nanny will be missed by many, and her memory will live in the heart of all who knew her.

Virginia is survived by her children Sandra (Laurence) Lee Dunlop, Stan (Chris) Townsend, Zara (Keith) Halderman, Atusa Townsend, Peggy (Todd) Osborne, Stephanie (Shaine) Wagner and Shannon (Gerry)Warman; grandchildren Ryan Richards, Kelly (Mandy) Richards, Chantelle (Ryan) Phelps, Rachelle (Steve) Deahl, Steven (Tiffany) Whiting, Briana Townsend, Shayla Haldeman, Kristen Haldeman, Ben Haldeman, Shawn Brown, Alexis Townsend, Steven Wagner, Carson Wagner, Ashley Wagner, Kiara Warman, Emmalee Warman and Alyssa Warman, as well as seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lyle Townsend; sons Stewart Townsend and Stephen Townsend; parents Edgar and Hazel Hall; siblings John, Joe and Ray Hall; and grandchildren Sara Townsend and Kelly Gene Richards Jr.

“Forever in our hearts with his arms open wide waiting to hold me inside,” the family stated.

Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at the LDS Church in Lovell.
