June 29, 1940 – Jan. 19, 2016
Lillian Irene Hettinger unexpectedly died on Jan. 19, 2016, at the young age of 75. She was a loving mom, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Lillian married her high school sweetheart, Richard, in 1958. They shared 56 years of marriage. Lillian loved the Lord, and Dad welcomed her into Heaven. She was dedicated to her church, family and being kind and generous to everybody she came in contact with. She took care of all of us.
Lillian enjoyed crafting, sewing, making cards and being part of her children and grandchildren’s lives. She was so very proud to be a grandmother and a great-grandmother. No matter if it was a football game, wrestling match, track meet, dance recital or volleyball game, she was there.
Lillian is survived by her four children, Susan Bohl, Annette (Leif) Welhaven, Justin Hettinger and Bart Hettinger; grandchildren Jason Reed, Shyla (Dennis) Brown, Kelsey Bohl, Colton Welhaven, Hope Welhaven and Madison Hettinger; great-granddaughter McKaul Brown and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, parents John and Dorthea Fink, Sophie and Clyde Harvey, Jake Hettinger and family members Dan Fink, Louise Fink Shawley, Paul Fink, Linda Fink Sachau and Jerry Hettinger.
Viewing was held on Sunday, Jan. 24, at Haskell Funeral Home. Funeral services were held on Monday, Jan. 25, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lovell. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.haskellfuneralhome.com.
