The Lovell High School Honor Society and FCCLA students have teamed up to host two “pack the place in pink” sports games on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon in Lovell. The annual event raises much needed funds that will help raise awareness and support local women who can’t afford screening for breast cancer.
The first event will be held in conjunction with the football game in Lovell on Friday evening at 7 p.m. between the Lovell Bulldogs and the Kemmerer Rangers.
On Saturday, the Lady Bulldog volleyball team is hosting local rivals from Rocky Mountain High School at the Johnny Winterholler Gymnasium, with games at 4, 5 and 6 p.m.
As part of the fundraiser the students have been selling pink T-shirts for the past several weeks. The students have also been selling pink items that will be available for purchase at the school on Thursday and Friday and at the concession stand at the football game on Friday evening. Cash donations will also be accepted at both events.
All proceeds from the events will go to North Big Horn Hospital. The funds will be set aside to help local women with the cost of mammograms and other types of breast cancer screenings available through the hospital.
