Grizzly cagers prep for conference

The Rocky Mountain Middle School boys basketball squads did some last minute tuning up for their respective conference tournaments

Tuesday by facing the Ten Sleep Pioneers in Ten Sleep.

The seventh grade defeated the Pioneers 19-18 Tuesday in Ten Sleep. Kobe May recorded a double double by scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Tyson Christiansen scored 4 points, and Elijah Estes and Dawson Sweat added 2 apiece, Nathan Minemyer 1. Christiansen also snared eight boards, and Kendrick Beckman grabbed six rebounds.

The sixth grade defeated Ten Sleep 25-19. Carsyn Weber led the Grizz with 8 points, and Estes added 7, Minemyer and Sweat 4 apiece and Mason McCollam 2. Minemyer led Rocky in rebounds by grabbing 12 caroms and Weber snared seven boards.

Saturday, the number one seeded Grizz will open up the eighth grade Big Horn Conference Tournament at 9 a.m. against the winner of the Meeteetse-Cloud Peak game.

The seventh grade will go into their Big Horn Conference Tournament as the number two seed and face Cloud Peak Friday at 4:30 p.m.
