There are some beautiful singing voices at north Big Horn County High Schools. That’s clear from recent Christmas concerts but also with the news that 10 local singers have been selected for the Wyoming All-State Choir following auditions held in November across the state.

Bob Geiser is in his 13th year at the helm of the Lovell Lady Bulldogs, and while he’s had some great teams, including a state title in 2000, he’s never gone into the Christmas holidays with an undefeated record.

It was a typical knock-down, drag-out when the Lovell Bulldogs and Rocky Mountain Grizzlies renewed their rivalry Thursday night in Byron, and though both teams fought hard, the Bulldogs pulled away for a 75-43 win.

Scott Allred of Lovell was appointed vice chairman of the Wyoming Search and Rescue Association at their quarterly meeting held Nov. 17 in Casper. Allred was nominated along with several others at the meeting and won the popular vote.

After changing the meeting night twice due to conflicts with council members’ schedules, the Lovell Town Council finally met for its regular December meeting Tuesday night, hearing updates on projects, approving a new sound system for the community center and considering once again whether to move town hall to the county annex building.
