Judy Lofgren Lange, formally of Byron, died at Logan Regional Hospital in Logan, Utah, on July 12, 2008. She was 64.

Judy was born in Salt Lake City June 21, 1944, to Richard and Gwen Lofgren. She grew up in the Salt Lake area and graduated from Olympus High School.

She married Mitchial Lange Sept. 3, 1965, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived in the Salt Lake area for 10 years and then moved to Byron, where they lived for over 30 years and raised their family.

To their union was born seven children. Her children were her priority and she loved her children.

Judy was an extraordinary seamstress and loved to sew a variety of things from prom dresses to high school mascot costumes. She especially loved sewing for her children and grandchildren. She loved to knit and crochet. She was extremely creative and showed this through her craftwork. She was the best cook around. Whenever a neighbor was in need of a meal, they requested one from Judy. She was very generous with her food. She will be forever remembered for her homemade chicken noodle soup (no one can make it like her).

As though raising seven children and using her creative talents weren’t enough, Judy also managed a food storage business from her home where she was the district manager covering four states. She received many awards for top salesperson. She was a great example of hard work and dedication.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in scouting, primary and relief society. She loved the gospel and instilled that love for the gospel in her children.

She had a strong will but a weak body and she is now free to be the person she was meant to be.

Judy’s family would like to thank all medical personnel that helped to make her life here on earth easier.

She is survived by her husband, Mitchial Lange, of 43 years; her children Michael (Vanessa) Lange of Bothell, Wash., Bret (Alana) Lange of Logan, Utah, Wendy (Jeff) Fox of Salt Lake City, Jill (Guy) Stones of Syracuse Utah, Cory (Liz) Lange of Woods Cross Utah, Andrew (Annalise) Lange of Salt Lake City and Jason Lange of North Salt Lake City; her father, Richard (Audrey) Lofgren of Salt Lake City; sister Joyce (Kelly) Crook of Kearns Utah, and brother Gary Lofgren of Renton Wash. She leaves behind many grandchildren that she loved dearly: William, Thomas, Abigail, Thorin, Amy, Aaron, Alec, Cade, Dawson, Austin, Ian, Mitchial, Samuel, Timothy, C.C. and Kayli.

She was preceded in death by her mother Gwen Lofgren and sisters Lynn Lofgren and Nancy Finch.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 16, at 1 p.m. in the Ensign Peak Ward chapel, East Capital Blvd. in Salt Lake City. There was a viewing Tuesday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan and on Wednesday at the church one hour prior to services. Interment was in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net In lieu of flowers the family suggest that donations be made to Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan, Utah, 84321, to help the family with expenses.
