Brian Edward George was born Nov. 25, 1958, in Evanston. He died July 11, 2008, at his home in Quilcene, Wash., after a tough battle with cancer.


Brian grew up in Vashon Island, Wash., and graduated from high school in 1977. He spent many years crab fishing in Alaska and for the past 15 years he has owned the ABC Gutter Company. He has lived the past 10 years in Quilcene.


Brian is survived by his loving wife Sandy of the family home; his friend and the mother of his children, Janice Hennessey of Sequim, Wash.; sons Austin and Collin of Seattle; daughters Eris of the family home and Laura of Sequim; step son Thayer of the family home; father Ernest George of Lovell; mother Frances Wright of Yuma, Ariz.; brother Kirk George of Seattle; sister Sandy Hood of Elmer City, Wash.; step brother Larry Wright of Ocean Shores, Wash., and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.


Brian’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, July 19, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Vashon Island Sportsmen’s Club. Family and friends will shed tears of sadness and share food, photos, stories and tall tales of the adventures Brian had during his lifetime.
