Fenton Clyde Wood was born on April 23, 1922, and died Jan. 16, 2010, in Havre, Mont. Fenton was born to Francis McKinley and Voilet Minerva Whetstone Wood in Manderson, Wyo. He married June Walker on Oct. 28, 1942, in Lovell, and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on Jan. 2, 1951.
Fenton worked for 30 years with the United States Postal Service as a rural mail carrier. He was active in the LDS Church and served in many positions throughout his life.
Fenton is survived by his wife, June, and children Mary (Bryce) Orr, Valerie (Don) Wurtz, Peggy Dedman, Janet (Randy) Pickinpaugh, Juliann (Randy) Riggin, William (Susan) Wood and Richard (Treeva) Wood. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Farrell, Earl and Donald, a sister Ilene and son Michael Walker and baby daughter.
Services were held at the LDS Stake Center with burial at the Lovell Cemetery on Jan. 20, 2010.
