Karen Kay Kelley Jepsen

Karen Kay Kelley Jepsen died peaceful in her sleep on April 13, 2021. Karen was born on March 19, 1958, to Don C. Kelley and Judy Kelley Workman, formerly of Escalante,Utah. Karen was the oldest of four children and later gained six stepbrothers.

Karen moved back to Lovell with her mother, Judy, brother Kacee and sister Karol in 1974, where she met and married Mike Workman. Together they had two daughters, Mandy Joy and Lacie Workman. They were later divorced.

She married Mike
Addison in 1984. To this union her third daughter, Harmonie Addison, was born in 1985. They divorced in 2001.

Karen lived with her mother, Judy Workman, until 2007, then she married Marc Jepsen and moved back to Utah.

Karen graduated from the first nursing class at Northwest College in Powell in 1981 and was a dedicated nurse for 39 years. She loved nursing.

Karen served as the postmaster in Boulder,Utah. She retired in 2019 and enjoyed her days in Boulder with her husband, Marc.

Karen loved the mountains. One of her passions was playing guitar with family and friends. She loved her girls and was always interested in what they had going in their lives and enjoyed listening to the stories about her grandkids. She was always up for a good visit and loved having a good time. She loved spending time outside in her yard and with her animals.

Karen was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Kelley Workman, father Don C. Kelley, stepdad William Workman, sister Kathryn Kim Kelley and grandparents Hermina and John Gams.

She is survived by her husband, Marc Jepsen; daughters Mandy (Chris) Joy, Lacie (Lee) Workman and Harmonie Addison; stepsons Blake Jepsen and Sonny Addison; sister Karol (Jim) Cavanaugh; brother Kacee (Zibby) Kelley; brothers Larry (Andy) Workman, Mike Workman, Rod (Susan) Workman, Bill (Toni) Workman, Aaron (Stacey) Workman and Ernest (Laura) Workman.

Karen is also survived by eight grandkids and one great-grandkid.

Cremation has taken place. Karen’s family will have a celebration of life on May 28 in Lovell.
