Lenard Leroy Muller

Lenard Leroy Muller was born in Belfry, Mont., on March 19, 1936, to John J. and Hazel Marie Worden Muller. The family farmed in the Belfry area before moving into the Big Horn Basin, eventually settling in Powell.[caption id="attachment_11136" align="alignright" width="185"] Lenard Leroy Muller[/caption]He was an Army veteran, serving in Korea from 1951 to 1954. After his discharge, he worked and rodeoed, and someone started calling him Monty. Later, he named his firstborn son Monty. In 1960, he met the true love of his life, Beverly Jean Neisess. They married on Sept. 1, 1960. To this union six children were born.He worked construction for many years, becoming a master mechanic. He was a foreman or superintendent for every one of his employers. He spent a couple years working on the Panama Canal and told many stories of the people he met and places he got to see.Lenard died the morning of April 5, 2016, at his home in Frannie. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Hazel; his beloved wife, Beverly, in 1993; daughter Connie Lynn Muller in 1972; grandsons Steven Leroy Muller in October of 2015 and John J. Muller in March of 2016; sisters Lillian Hume, Peggy Pace, Evelyn Hicks, Marion Althoff and June Neisess and brother Dale Muller.Lenard is survived by his sons Monty Lee (Kelly) Muller of Cowley, John Christopher (Judy) Muller of Casper, Dale Lonnie Muller of Willisburg, Ky. and Paul Jay (Linda) Muller of Frannie; his daughter Jolene Jean Muller Emmett of Nebraska; two sisters, Judy Daugherity of Nampa, Idaho, and Muriel Holthues of Lockwood, Mont.; three brothers, Clifton Muller of Kirby, Wyo., Gary Muller of Evanston and Jack Muller of Lovell; grandchildren Jerry (Amy) Muller, Tasha (Dan) Hanson, Eric (Krista) Muller, Robbie Muller, Greg Muller, Christy Muller, Amanda Muller, Angela Muller, Krystal Muller, Steven Dale Muller and Nathan Emmett; great-grandchildren Jaden, Chris, Macie, Brody, Ciara, Aubrey, Caiden, Ashlynn and Kate; and many nieces and nephews.Cremation has taken place. Memorial services were held on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Haskell Funeral Home in Lovell. Burial of cremains was in the Cowley Cemetery.
