North Big Horn grapplers place 15 in Cody

The North Big Horn Wrestlers traveled to Cody Saturday where they placed 15 in the tournament.“The kids are really starting to apply what they learned in practice and it shows,” Coach Kelly Spann said.Angie Spann reported the following results from Saturday’s meet:Kyler Marchant placed first at 70 pounds in the novice division while William Spann placed first at 55 pounds in the bantam A division. Kelden Boettcher placed second at 55 pounds in the bantam B division.Colton Bitton placed third at 45 pounds in the peewee A division and Asher Nicholson placed third at 70 pounds in the novice division. Weston Crumrine placed third at 70 pounds in the bantam division.Nathan Minemyer placed fourth at 80 pounds in the intermediate division while Danika Crumrine placed fourth at 55 pounds in the peewee division. Tucker Sabin placed fourth at 50 pounds in the bantam B division.Freedom Walker placed fifth at 70 pounds in the novice division while Kevin Marchant placed fifth at 60 pounds in the intermediate division. Thomas Strokes placed fifth at 50 pounds in the intermediate division and Cale Frost placed fifth at 60 pounds in the bantam division. Zayden Stahl placed fifth at 40 pounds in the peewee A division and Ryan Nunn placed sixth at 60 pounds in the intermediate division.There will be two tournaments that the North Big Horn wrestling team will be attending this weekend as some of the wrestlers will be traveling to Powell, others to Billings for the Montana Open.By Sam Smith
