Steven Wickwire

Oct. 13, 1956 – Oct. 27, 2022

Steven Ronald Wickwire, 66, of Lovell was reunited with his past loved ones when he gained his angel wings on Oct. 27, 2022, in Lovell.

Steve was born on Oct. 13, 1956, in Chappell, Nebraska, to Ronald Edward Wickwire and Carol Louise (Sneith) Wickwire. He grew up in various places due to his dad working in the oilfield. He attended school in Alaska and Gillette prior to joining the Army in 1974, where he served until 1976.

Steve married Lavelda Blaney in Lusk, Wyoming, Aug. 30, 1980, where they resided until moving to Casper in 1984. To this union came four children, Lisa, Crystal, Justin and Travis.

They later divorced, and Steve met Pamela Felt in 2006 and moved to Lovell. Through Pamela he gained six bonus children, Desiree, Aspen, Misty, Angie, Michael and Mary Ann, that he loved just like his own. Pamela and Steve were finally married Feb. 22, 2022, after being together 16-plus years.

Steve was a diehard Denver Broncos fan and loved the Wyoming Cowboys. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, fishing and camping. When his boys were younger, he really enjoyed building pinewood derby cars with them for Boy Scouts. His favorite hangout place with Pam and many close friends was Aud’s 4 Corners Bar and Grill.

Steve was a man of many trades. He followed in his father’s footsteps and went into the oilfield trade for several years. He later became a truck driver until his children were born and he wanted to be home with them to see them grow up. While his children were growing up, he worked various jobs such as a mechanic, bike assembler for Wal-Mart and a maintenance man. Once his children were grown, he returned to his passion of driving truck until his retirement.

Steve was preceded in death by both of his parents, paternal and maternal grandparents, wife Pamela, uncle Rick Sneith and son Justin Wickwire.

He is survived by his children, Lisa Wickwire (Shane Baker) of Casper, Crystal Wickwire (Jason Bruyette) of Casper, Travis Wickwire of Casper, Desiree Hallacy (Ben Haynes) of Springfield, Oregon, Aspen Fenton (Al Hicks) of Reading, Pennsylvania, Misty (Chris) Siebert of Ridgecrest, California, Angie Felt of Laramie, Michael Felt of Billings and Mary Ann Felt of Lovell; grandchildren Kylie, Jocelyn, Emerick, Libby and Everly Siebert, Trinity Chavez, Jordan Wickwire, Jaydann Wickwire, Derek and Ava; honorable children Shawna Stringham, Amber Hoover and numerous other neighborhood children; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 5, at 11 a.m. at Haskell Funeral Home with a reception to follow at Aud’s 4 Corners Bar and Grill. There will also be a service held in Casper at a later date.
