June 25, 2020 Issue
Here's a sampling of what you'll find in this week's issue of the Greybull Standard:

• We take a little detour from the heaviness of the today's news by taking you on a good, ol' fashioned Wyoming cattle drive. Thanks to John Ed and Gina Anderson and their work crew for the access.
• It's going to be a fun summer at Antelope Butte. The recreation area in the Big Horns hosts the first installment of its summer concert series this weekend. We'll tell you all about it. The popular country band Alabama said it best: "Play me some mountain music."
• Motels and campgrounds in Greybull are trying to weather the storm of one of the worst travel seasons in memory due to fears about COVID-19. We visit with four owners about what they've seen so far and what they think the rest of the summer holds.
• Greybull town officials are trying their best to get the rest area (and by extension the Museum of Flight and Aerial Firefighting) reopened.
• Big Horn County School District No. 3 has hired a new head girls basketball coach. (Hint: In her playing days, she was a point guard for the Lady Buffs.) It was one of several personnel moves approved by the board earlier this month.
• And while a great many of us wish it would just go away, we can't ignore the coronavirus. Apparently it doesn't go on summer vacation. We bring you coverage of the latest meeting of the county incident response team and an update on plans for the August primary election.
• A Greybull businessman and his family are in the midst of a crisis as a result of a recent cancer diagnosis. Plans for a July fundraiser have been announced. Find out how you can help this wonderful family.
• Oh, and Seamus Bercher competed in the national speech and debate competition.
Just another week in a small town. Copies can be found at Lynn's, Maverik, Overland and in front of our office at 614 Greybull Avenue. Or just subscribe to our e-edition and read it on your laptop or computer for just $30 bucks a year.
