Margaret Marie Wenke Zaring
March 5, 1924 – Sept. 26, 2015A graveside service and celebration of the life of Margaret Marie Wenke Zaring will be held at a later date. Marie, 91, died Sept. 26 at the West Park Long Term Care Center in Cody.She was born March 5, 1924, in Casper, the daughter of Eleanor and Earl Osborn. She graduated from Natrona High School.Marie married Dale Leroy Wenke on March 23, 1948. The couple had two sons, William Dale and Russell Gene.In 1965 the family moved to Basin where they operated the Red Horse Service Station and delivered bulk fuel. Dale died in a car accident in 1975.Marie married James Zaring on Oct. 17, 1983. The two enjoyed 20 years of traveling in the United States and to several European and Asian countries. After sharing time between Basin and Sun City, Ariz., the Zarings moved to Cody to be closer to family. After her husband’s death May 28, 2004, Marie continued to live in Cody. Failing health caused her to move into the Long Term Care Center.She was preceded in death by her husband Dale in 1975; her husband Jim in 2004; sister Betty and Betty’s husband Bill; her sister Darlene and Darlene’s husband Bert, and her daughter-in-law, Vickie Wenke.She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Susan Wenke and Russ and Elizabeth Wenke; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.Donations in Marie‘s memory can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
