Little Terry Tebbs, 120-pound Cowley back, spoiled the Hanna Miners’ bid for a state six-man crown Saturday with a pair of perfect third period passes to give Cowley of the Big Horn Basin a 14 to 7 win and the championship. For Coach J.W. Cramner and his Cowley team it was a glorious day, the first state title – won in Cramner’s second year as coach. Cowley has a population of 451 and a high school enrollment of 75.

Twelve lettermen are leading a squad of 25 Lovell High wrestlers through practices under new head coach Scott Caturia. Caturia, a Powell graduate and University of Wyoming wrestler, takes over the position from longtime head coach Cliff Revelle, after serving as his assistant.

The Lovell Bulldogs were well represented on the Class 2A All-State football team announced last week, with four players chosen for the elite squad, LHS Coach Roy Strom said Tuesday.

A retail business has returned to the familiar location of the former Hen House store in Lovell. Attic Space, a thrift shop owned and operated by Krystl Buchholtz and her aunt, Deb Harmer, opened for business Monday at 210 E. Main, giving new life to the retail space that had been empty since John Lafko moved the Hen House to Laurel, Montana.
