Phil was known for his commitment to his family, his community and his faith. He touched the lives of many with his humor, his stories and inspirational words for anyone that had the opportunity to share time with him.
Phil had many chapters in his life, his impact stretching across time and landscapes. He was born in Lovell on July 24, 1944. He attended school there but also learned from the land as he wandered through the Big Horn Mountains.
He eventually left to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Southwest Indian Mission, trekking across the desert and mastering the Navajo language.
Later he met the love of his life, Emma Dugi, and they married on June 5, 1970. They started their lives in Lovell and later moved to Coppermine, Arizona, to continue raising their children.
Phil cherished his time spent filling the role of Bishop Lynn. He invested his whole heart into the people and communities he deeply loved as he served them. His latter years were spent in Springville, Utah, where he enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren until his passing.
Phil was preceded in death by his brother Dale Lynn, sisters Shirley Garrett and Sue Stewart and parents Herrold and Elizabeth Lynn.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Emma, eight children, 27 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and his siblings, twin sister Phyllis Carr and brother Ron Lynn.
