Rose Marie Fink
Dec. 9, 1924 – Aug. 23, 2011 Rose Marie Fink, 86, of Lovell died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011 at North Big Horn Hospital in Lovell. She was born Dec. 9, 1924 in Park City, Mont. to Emil and Amalia (Schmidt) Kober. On Jan. 1, 1925, she was baptized at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Park City. She was also confirmed there on April 30, 1939. Her schooling included grades 1-8 at the Tilden School at Young’s Point and high school in Park City. She graduated in May of 1942.Following graduation, Rose Marie worked in the ASCS office in Columbus, Mont. until her marriage to Gottlieb Fink of Lovell on Nov. 24, 1956. To this union, one daughter, Sheila, was born.Rose Marie was a homemaker and an active member of her church. She taught Sunday school in Park City and Lovell as well as Vacation Bible School and Week Day School after her marriage for many years. She held offices in LWML and served on the altar guild. She made family a priority. She enjoyed baking and doing hand work projects.She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, infant sister Alexandria, brother Johann “Jack” Kober and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.Survivors include her daughter Sheila and husband Marvin Schmidt of Riverton; sisters Elfrieda (Fritzi) Idleman, Theodora (Tia) Kober and brother Alwin Kober, all of Park City, as well as brothers-in-law William J., Alfred and Emil and sisters-in-law Marie Doerr and Bertha Gernant, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.Services will be on Friday, Aug. 26, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lovell, with Pastor Christopher Brandt officiating. Burial will follow in the Lovell Cemetery. Haskell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Memorial donations can be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church.
