Valentine's Tales: Madison and Steven Hunder

We don’t have an exciting story about how we met … It’s really lame actually. He asked me out on a date over Facebook. So original. But I joke that he chose to ask me out only shortly after I had a traumatic dirt bike accident so I couldn’t physically run away. And we’ve been together since that day. When you know, you know.

Every year we re-create our first date and even wear the same clothes we wore on the first date. We take a picture at the same place every year. We’ve been married for six years, seven in April. He proposed right as 2017 came to a close on New Year’s Eve. So technically it was January 1, 2018. We had just gotten back from a trip, and we were hanging out together at his house, and he proposed right as the clock struck midnight. I loved that it was so intimate between the two of us.

Since marriage we’ve had the most beautiful son together, and we’ve traveled the world. We’ve worked together to start our Disney walkway for Christmas for the last two years. We love doing crafts and projects, and together we’ve accomplished a lot.

I love our story, and I’m so grateful I got the best husband in the whole wide world to share my life with.
