Willard (Bill) Dausman died peacefully on Sept. 26, 2015, in Lovell, at the age of 83.[caption id="attachment_10357" align="alignright" width="226"] Willard (Bill) Dausman [/caption]Bill is survived by his brothers Jetty Dausman and Everett Dausman, both of Leesburg, Ind.; his children Dan (Meg) Dausman of Pierceton, Ind., Kathy Cahill of Pierceton, Ind., Dave (Carrie) Dausman of Lovell, Jay (Elizabeth) Dausman of Pierceton and his step-children Val (Bruce) Sweetheimer of Pierceton, Ray (Deb Smith) Jones of North Manchester, Ind., Lynnette (Willie) Ream of North Webster, Ind., Bart (Dawn) Jones of Pierceton, Lori (Doug) Greene of Syracuse, Ind. and Melanie Burkett of Pierceton; 30 grandkids and several great-grandkids. He is preceded in death by his wife Wilma, brother Glen, sister Lois and son Allen.Bill was born on April 9, 1932, in Oswego, Ind. to Vern and Martha Dausman. He married Wilma on May 5, 1983. Bill began his working life designing and building mobile home parks including Lake Estates in Indiana. Later in life, he was employed by Zimmer, Inc., where he worked in research and development.Bill was an accomplished horseman and longtime member of the American Quarter Horse Association. He passed on his talent and love of horses to his children and grandchildren. He was a patient and hardworking man that was always the first to volunteer a helping hand.A graveside memorial was held Sept. 28, 2015, in Byron, and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date in Indiana.
