‘Chip-off’ settles second place at Mustang Days tournament

It took a “chip-off” to settle a tie at the Mustang Days Golf Tournament Saturday at the Foster Gulch Golf Course, board president Tim Winland announced this week. 

Sponsored by Midway Construction and Dirtwork, the tournament featured 18 three-person teams for a total of 54 golfers. 

Winland said there was a tie for second place gross between the West Hernandez team and the Pete Baxendale team, and the Hernandez team prevailed in the chip-off. 

The winners of the tournament are as follows: 

GROSS SCORE (NOT USING HANDICAP): 

1st place Danny Wolvington, Craig Lundberg and Dane Robertson 

2nd place West Hernandez, Dave Hayes and Neil Baxendale 

3rd place Pete Baxendale, Brad Baxendale and Troy Butler 

NET SCORE (USING HANDICAP): 

1st place Dusty Shultz, Steve Coleman and Kris Brimhall 

2nd place Kevin Winterholler, Craig Winterholler and Tom Bassett 

3rd place Brenen Hinckley, Carson May and Cason James
