All-stars begin post-season play

The rosters for the Big Horn County Little League Majors and Minors all-star teams have been announced, and they’ll get underway at the Lovell All-Stars and Stripes tournament this weekend.

Then, the squads will make their way to the District Little League Tournament held in Bridger Valley on July 10-13.

For the Majors, the following players were selected: Gage Angell, Landon Asay, Xaden Baxendale, Camden Blain, Brooks Brost, Brock Butler, Madden Cooley, Dax Mangus, Bradley Mickelson, Kayan Owens, Brhysan Henton and Dane Wilson.

At the local weekend tournament, teams from Lovell, Powell, Cody, Greybull and Lander will compete on the Majors field.

Lovell will be facing off against Greybull at 9 a.m. on Friday followed by a match-up with Lander at 1 p.m. in pool play.

Game times for Saturday will be determined by Friday’s results and standings.

MINORS

In Minor League action, Big Horn County Little League will be represented by Esson Anderson, Luke Bischoff, Taysom Butler, Jamen Crosby, James Henderson, Jace Jameson, Patrick Jameson, Kooper May, Hudson Morgan, Logan Timpany, Spencer Walker and Thayne Walker.

There will be no Minor League team competing from Lander, so the other four teams will vie for the championship this weekend in Lovell.

At 9 a.m. on Friday, Lovell and Greybull will go head-to-head to start pool play followed by a game against Cody at 1 p.m.

The outcomes of those pool play games will determine game times and opponents for Saturday’s single-elimination bracket.
