Annual car show returns to Lovell’s Days

The C.A.R.S. Street Machines car club organized the Lovell’s Days car show that welcomed an array of vehicles to Oregon Avenue Thursday evening, June 25. A total of 48 cars entered, and six drove away with a winning, custom designed plaque.

“We had a good show that went very smoothly,” said Les Files, club member and organizer of the event. “This is our fourth year hosting this event. We improved from last year as far as the number of entries and prizes we were able to hand out to the winners.”

Results of the winning entries were:

“Best of Show” to Lance Nixon; “Best Modern Build” to Jeremiah Kitchen; “Best Classic Build” to Steve Fowler; “Best Off-Road 4x4” to Tyler Cooley; “Best Custom Build” to Randy Walker; “Diamond in the Rough” to Rocky Marberry.

The car club will also be hosting the Byron’s Days car show at Jones Park. This event, alongside other festivities, will kick off at 11 a.m. and onwards on Saturday, July 11.
