Comedic musician to perform at An Evening with Friends event
Tickets are still on sale for the annual An Evening with Friends fundraiser for the North Big Horn Hospital Foundation scheduled for Saturday, April 27, at the Lovell Community Center.
North Big Horn Hospital Marketing, Foundation and Grants Coordinator Janet Koritnik said the evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour and light meal, followed by the entertainment at 7.
The social hour will include a variety of appetizers in the form of charcuterie boards, desserts, complimentary wine, souvenir wine glasses and a cash bar. Music will be provided by Route 66 -- Ron McClure and Emelyn Pimentel.
An extensive silent auction will be held during the social time, with all proceeds going to updating patient rooms in the hospital.
Highlighting the silent auction items are a one-hour flight over the Big Horn Basin, folded star wall hangings, two nights at Wyoming High Country Lodge, a Blackstone grill and accessories, artwork, a Cabela’s gift card, two lawn chairs, a cooler and tumblers, a drone with WiFi camera, a fishing basket, a fishing trip, a handmade forged knife and hat, a kayak trip for two, a lap quilt, a visit to Zoo Montana and the Pizza Ranch, a telescope, gift cards and a variety of gift baskets.
Raffle tickets are also on sale for an overnight stay at Willow Hollow in the Bighorn National Forest.
Entertainment will be provided by musician and comedian Wayne Faust. According to a biography on the website Broadjam.com, Faust has more than 30 years of experience entertaining crowds from all over the world. His biography states that he is “the guy that can take a roomful of people from all over and make them friends by the end of the evening” or who “can make your stomach muscles hurt from laughing one minute and have you wistfully remembering your childhood dreams the next minute.
“His live show can turn any evening into a party -- a night full of great music, comedy and improvisation,” the biography continues. “And most of all, fun. Lots of fun.
“Wayne plays guitar and banjo and tells jokes. Lots of jokes. He makes up songs on the spot.”
Tickets are $40 each and are available from Koritnik or foundation board members Michael Asay, Carol Fink, David Peck, Jeff Pearson, Chad Petrich, Barbara Shumway and Craig Sorenson or CEO Eric Connell. Call 548-5240 for more information. The foundation requests that tickets be reserved by April 19.
“It should be a great event,” Koritnik said. “We have a lot of local sponsors, and we’re excited to have a good, quality entertainer.”
