Commodities Distribution
A USDA Commodities distribution is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 17, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Residents of Big Horn County may pick up commodities at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 520 Montana Ave., Lovell.
Volunteers will be distributing a variety of dried, fresh and canned foods.
Commodities distribution is income based. The February 2024 – January 2025 gross income eligibility guidelines are as follows. A single individual is eligible to receive commodities with up to $1,632 of monthly income, $19,578 annual income; a couple may have up to $2,215 of monthly income, $26,572 annual income; and for three persons the maximum is $2,798 of monthly income, $33,566 annual income. For each additional qualifying person in the household the maximum income increases by $583 of monthly income, $6,994 annual income.
St. John’s Lutheran Church is a Partner of the Food Bank of Wyoming. The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) is available to all eligible people regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or handicap within the quantities of USDA commodities available.
