Dennis Nolte

Former Byron resident Dennis Nolte, 69, of Campbellsburg, Ind., died on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at his residence. Born Dec. 7, 1945, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Louis Nolte and Lois Fryar Nolte, both of whom preceded him in death.

He was a retired union electrician and belonged to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 357, Las Vegas. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and being outdoors.

Survivors include a daughter, Angela Lopez of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., his favorite son-in-law, Joseph Lopez, of San Juan Capistrano, two grandchildren, Bronson Lopez and Gabriel Lopez, a brother, Richard Andrew Nolte of Knightstown, Ind., and two sisters, Candie Trent of Greenfield, Ind., and Lou Ann Smith of Titusville, Fla. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Nolte.

To comply with his wishes, cremation was chosen. No visitation or services will be held.
