Elaine Elizabeth Wirth
Nov. 12, 1948 – March 29, 2026
Elaine Elizabeth (Enes) Wirth, 77, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026, in Spanish Fork, Utah, surrounded by the family she so dearly loved.
Born on November 12, 1948, in Lovell to Ken and Bettee Enes, Elaine spent the majority of her life in her beloved home state. She married her high school sweetheart, Steve Wirth, and together they built a home in Wyoming filled with laughter, devotion and, as she often joked, plenty of estrogen while raising their four daughters. In their later years, Elaine and Steve moved to Payson, Utah, to be closer to their family.
A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Elaine’s life was firmly rooted in her faith and a selfless desire to serve others. She was best known for her bubbly, joyful spirit and an innate ability to make anyone feel like family.
Elaine shared her many talents generously; she was an incredible cook and a gifted piano player. Her greatest passion, however, was nurturing young children. Through the years of running her home daycare, she poured her heart into the babies entrusted to her care, leaving a lasting legacy on the many lives she touched.
Elaine is reunited in death with her eternal sweetheart, Steve Wirth, daughters April Hornbeck and Sarah Borrego and many other cherished family members who preceded her.
Her memory will be forever carried by her surviving daughters, Maylee and Laurel, 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was a woman whose life was defined by love, and she will be deeply missed and cherished forever.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Legacy House of Spanish Fork and Thompson Funeral Home of Powell for their tender care.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 3, at 2 p.m. at the Byron Chapel. A viewing will take place one hour prior to the service.
