Gov. Gordon proclaims Feb. 1 ‘Unclaimed Property Day’

CHEYENNE – Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon is encouraging all residents of the State to take two minutes of their time to search www.mycash.wyo.gov and see if they are entitled to any of the $110 million in Unclaimed Property that has been turned over to the Wyoming State Treasurer’s Office.
To help get the word out, Gov. Gordon has proclaimed February 1 “Unclaimed Property Day.”
State Treasurer Curt Meier said close to $12 million in new money has been added to Wyoming’s Unclaimed Property Fund since July 1, 2023, and the State has issued six checks exceeding $100,000 since that time.
It is estimated that approximately 33 million people across the United State are owed unclaimed property.
