Letter to the Editor: Republican Party, don’t tell me who to vote for

I agree 100% with Dave Peck’s editorial. With a lot of the candidates, I don’t know what they stand for, but I know who they are against.

The problem, I believe, with the Republican Party is they have no opposition and have turned on themselves. Other than a couple of counties, there are no Democrats running for anything at the local level. At the state and national level there are a few Democrats with as much chance as I do running as a write-in for governor.

If I could, I would resurrect the Democrat Party in Wyoming and maybe with some opposition the Republican Party would knock off a lot of this nonsense. I remember when Wyoming had a Democrat senator and Democrat congressman at the same time at the national level. We’ve had a Democrat governor not all that long ago.

It’s not good enough to be a Republican, but you must agree with 80% of what the Freedom Caucus says, the Wyoming Republican Committee says and absolutely be conservative. The Wyoming Republican Committee even tells you how to vote because I guess most of us are imbeciles.

I can say the candidates these various groups have endorsed will not get my vote. I don’t like anybody telling me who I’m voting for.
