March 2, 1949 – Feb. 25, 2014Memorial services for Linda Lee Sanders of Basin were held Saturday, March 1 at the First Baptist Church in Basin. Linda, 64, died Feb. 25, at Billings Clinic in Billings, Mont.She was born March 2, 1949, in Rochester, N.Y., the daughter of Edward John and Lorraine Smalley Allen. She received her schooling in Holley, N.Y. and attended Edison Community College in Fort Meyers, Fla.Linda moved to Lovell in 1988 where she went to work as a registered nurse at North Big Horn Hospital. She also put her nursing skills to work at South Big Horn County Hospital, St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, was a traveling nurse and worked in the ICU at Deaconess Hospital, now Billings Clinic, for many years.She loved working in her yard, building birdhouses, painting, doing woodworking and craft projects. Linda enjoyed going to the mountains, hunting, trapping and riding motorcycles, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a friend to everybody she met and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need.Her son, Zebulon Richenberg; brother Ed Allen, and her father Ed Allen, preceded Linda in death.She is survived by her mother, Lorraine Allen of Basin; her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Sean Williamson of Basin; three grandsons and a granddaughter-in-law, Andrew Williamson, Tyler and Brianna Williamson and Calvin Williamson; one brother, Robert Allen of New York, a nephew Greg Allen of Tennessee and a great-nephew whom she loved dearly, Aiden Allen of Tennessee.Memorials in Linda’s name are being received at Security State Bank, Box 531, Basin, WY 82410. Proceeds will benefit the Moyer Animal Shelter in Powell.
