LMS track team finishes well at home meet

Competing in their hometown Saturday, April 13, the Lovell Mustangs did well this weekend. There were many top finishers from each grade. 

Some notable performances for the boys included eighth graders Anthony Garcia, who took first in the 100-meter dash (12.17), and Hunter Krei was just behind him in second (12.28). Garcia also placed first in long jump with a soaring jump of 17-8.5. Bradley Mickelson, a sixth grader, placed first in high jump with a jump of 4-4.

The Lady Mustangs competed well also with many girls in the top spots. In the 800- meter races sixth grader Macee Winterholler finished first with a time of 3:11.58, seventh grader Eliza Wagner won with a time of 2:55.59, and eighth grader Caylee Herman finished on top with a time of 2:35.04. 

Myles May finished first in both 100- and 200-meter hurdles with times of 18.75 and 33.44 while she also won the long jump with a jump of 13-06.75. Each 800-meter sprint medley relay placed first, 6th grade with a time of 2:30.68, 7th with a time of 2:14.86 and 8th with a time of 2:08.83. 

In 6th grade high jump Oakley Anderson placed first with a jump of 4-00.00. In long jump 6th grader Rubie Weber finished on top with a jump of 12-09.00 and first in the triple jump (28-04.00). Ali Walker finished first in the 8th grade long jump with a jump of 14-02.75. In the triple jump Avery Walker finished number one with a jump of 33-08.25. In both of her throwing event 8th grader Morgan Harshman placed first throwing a 73-08.25 in discus and a 26-05.00 in shot put.
