Lovell’s Days runners dash through clouds of color
The Lovell’s Days color run garnered a significant turnout after welcoming 150 participants early Saturday morning. Runners of all ages completed either a mile or 5K and crossed the finish line to be welcomed by clouds of colorful chalk. This event was sponsored by Club Dauntless.
“As far as the turnout, it was great. We absolutely love this event, and we’re so grateful to be part of such an amazing community,” said Haley Sorenson, the athletics director for Club Dauntless. “We are always super grateful for the Search and Rescue providing traffic control.”
The 5K run offered prizes to the first man and woman to complete the race. Kellen Winters won the men’s prize after completing his run first with a time of 14:55. Amee Newman received her first-place prize after finishing with a top women’s time of 17:57.
